These doctors, unlike other doctors, took the time to listen. They were compassionate, and through the years became my friends more than a doctor-patient relationship. It was more personalized with more understanding of what I was going through. We didn’t speak to each other in formalities, which most patients are accustomed to hearing. I would talk to them, and they to me as if we’ve known each other since childhood. There was never a mask separating us. They got out of their doctor’s chairs, and just for a bit, at least with me, became the normal and girl you could have a beer with. And except for Sam Rabinovitch who has since passed away, they are still my friends to this very day.

I suffered from Psoriasis almost all of my entire life... from the age of 26, up to the age of 62. At one point I was so fed up, not only of the Psoriasis, but the other complications that had developed in my life because of it, that I took drastic measures that eventually solved my problems.
